The committee wants greater involvement from lived experience to strengthen their work.

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Committee has an opportunity for people to join and ensure that patients’ voices contribute to their work. The committee is keen for greater patient involvement and participation in shaping their approach.

Ideally, you would have experience with blood transfusion, understand what is important to patients, relatives, and carers, have a non-healthcare background, and be able to work with other people, including healthcare professionals.

You’ll be expected to participate in meetings online every three months. The papers and agenda will be provided a week before the meeting. All support will be provided by named members of the committee, e.g., help with understanding processes, governing bodies, and their requirements. You will be mentored by the chair as required.
