In partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support

The ALLIANCE is seeking people affected by cancer who want to influence and get involved in the national Transforming Cancer Care Programme.

Macmillan Cancer Support Scotland and the Scottish Government are working together to improve cancer services in Scotland. Their planned programme of work is called ‘Transforming Cancer Care’. Their aim is for everyone diagnosed with cancer to have access to a dedicated support worker.  This will make sure people are offered emotional, practical and financial advice as well as access to services tailored to their needs.

An Executive Group and Delivery Group oversee Transforming Cancer Care. The ALLIANCE, through our Macmillan lived experience programme, is looking for people affected by cancer to become members of the Executive Group and Delivery Group. You might be affected by cancer because of your own cancer diagnosis, or as a family member or carer of someone with cancer.

Anyone who is interested should download and read our information pack, expression of interest form and privacy statement.
