PhD researchers from The Glasgow School of Art are seeking participants.
When caring for an older person, have you found the health and social care system challenging or confusing to navigate?
Research exploring how family and unpaid carers make and reflect on social care decisions for older relatives, and how these experiences can be better supported through design methods is the focus of a PhD study, led by Shuzhong Wang, PhD researcher at Glasgow School of Art.
Participants are invited to take part in a questionnaire with the option to be included in later phases of the study.
The study has four stages:
Survey: a short survey about carers’ experience of making care related decisions
Individual interview: to talk in more detail about a particular care decision and the experience around it.
Focus group: exploring how carers’ experiences and decision making journeys could be represented through different scenario based and visual approaches.
Co-design workshop: working together to develop and refine scenario based materials based on carers’ experiences.
For more information on the study and to complete the survey, please visit the questionnaire page.
