Event helping young people with an additional support need to begin their journey to sustainable employment.
The team at Forth Valley College, Stirling Council and Skills Development Scotland (SDS) are delighted to host their 2nd Annual Moving On Event from 3.30 – 6pm on 22nd February 2024 at the Stirling Campus.
The event is an information/recruitment style helping young people (and their families) with an additional support need to begin their journey to sustainable employment.
Last year, there was a fantastic turnout out of young people from Stirling, Falkirk, Alloa and surrounding areas all looking for career pathways in a variety of workplaces including – hospitality, construction, childcare, care work and many more seeking work experiences within the voluntary sector.
With an estimated 40% of young people with a diagnosed additional support need entering the workforce, this year, we aim to make this event even bigger and are inviting in local employers who may or may not have “live” vacancies but are prepared to talk a little about their organisation and how it supports their staff and the wider community in general.
If you would like to come along and showcase your organisation, please email fiona.mccrindle@forthvalley.ac.uk to book a table.
