The response amplifies the voices of people affected by cancer.

The ALLIANCE has responded to the Scottish Government’s consultation on the new cancer strategy (this link will take you away from our website).

The response is informed by learning from activities lead by the ALLIANCE’s Transforming Cancer Care Lived Experience programme, run in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support. This includes the views of ALLIANCE members, ALLIANCE volunteers who serve on the Transforming Cancer Care Executive and Delivery Groups, participants from our cancer prehabilitation focus groups, as well as research our team has carried out around inequalities for our Peer Evaluator project.

The response emphasises the importance of screening, education, early diagnosis, prevention, awareness raising and support.
