The Make Links Podcast looks at the role of Community Links Practitioner's and showcases the impact they have on communities.

The ALLIANCE’s Community Links Practitioner (CLP) programme have published the first in a series of podcasts showcasing what it means to be a Links Practitioner and the myriad of tasks and skills that are required to perform the role. The podcast will also invite guests from GP practices and members of the communities where the Community Links Practitioners are based to discuss how the presence of Links Practitioners are making an impact on the delivery of community care and support.

In this first episode, six members of staff from the Community Links Practitioner programme provide input on, ‘What is the Links Approach?’ The episode will provide some context around the creation of the programme and its purpose. Listeners will then have the opportunity to hear directly from Links Practitioners about the day to day aspects of their roles.

Future episodes of the series will be released on an initial monthly basis and focus on a different theme such as Social Security, bereavement support and mental health. In the upcoming episode, listeners will be able to learn about how Community Links Practitioners are supporting people in their communities that are on the shielding list.
