In the lead up to the Self Management Awards, we find out more about our judges and what self management means to them.

Rhona Guild, Primary Care Manager/Long Term Conditions Lead at Angus Health and Social Care Partnership shares what she’s looking forward to about judging the self management awards.

If your friends could describe you in three words, what would they be?

Energetic, persuasive and (perhaps a little) bossy!

What is self management to you?

Self management to me means being the ‘best you’- getting the information and support needed to enable you to manage your health and wellbeing. It’s not going it alone!

If you could trade places with anybody, who would it be?

Quite happy being me- thank you! We all need to learn to be happy being ourselves

What is the best thing about being a judge for the Self Management Awards?

I am really looking forward to reading all the entries outlining the incredible efforts across the country. Hopefully I’ll get a few ideas to take back to my post within Angus Health and Social Care Partnership.

What three people would you invite to a dinner party?

Now there is a question! Dr Kate Lorig, Sir David Attenborough and Sir Chris Hoy

If you could have a super power, what would it be?

Time travel- would love to go ‘Back to the Future’!
