Join this webinar during Shared Lives Week.

Shared Lives is an example of what the future of good social care looks like. It builds relationships and a sense of belonging for people supported.  Shared Lives schemes bring people who need support together with Shared Lives carers to share homes, lives, and community connections, so everyone has the chance to live where they feel they belong.

Shared Lives can include support for a day, short breaks and long-term arrangements for people with a wide range of needs, including young people leaving care, people living with learning disabilities (including parents), older age support needs and dementia.

Shared Lives Week 2026 runs from 15 – 21 June, and is led by Shared Lives Plus, the UK membership charity for Shared Lives schemes and Shared Lives carers.

The webinar will be hosted by Krish Kandiah, a broadcaster, speaker, social entrepreneur and CEO of the Sanctuary Foundation, who is also a foster carer and Shared Lives carer.  Panellists will include ambassadors with lived experience of Shared Lives.
