Funding and support available for six community organisations to explore local approaches and action on suicide prevention

Applications are now open for the next round of Suicide Prevention Scotland’s Community Led Action Research Programme, which supports community organisations across Scotland to explore local approaches to suicide prevention.

Building on the success and learning from the 2024-2025 programme, this new phase will continue to give voice to communities most affected by suicide and address the inequalities that can increase risk.

The programme recognises that communities hold vital knowledge and experience about what works in supporting people and preventing suicide, and seeks to building on this through participatory research.

For 2025-2026, the programme will expand to support six community-based organisation. Each group will receive training, mentoring and guidance from Scottish Community Development Centre in community led action research methods as well as funding of £4,000 to support their participation.

Applications are open until Wednesday 5th of November 2025 at 12pm
