What does trust mean to you? That is the question SCDC and the Scottish Government are seeking to explore.

What does trust mean to you? Come and explore that question in a series of sessions and self-facilitated discussions focused on trust and transparency in Scotland.

Facilitated by SCDC, these sessions are aimed at community members and people who support their communities, providing an open space to share priorities and reflections on their relationship with government.

The responses from these sessions will directly inform Scottish Government actions through the Open Government Action Plan 2026 to 2030. The Action Plan is a way for civil society and government to work together on agreed priorities, and builds on previous action plans.

Participants will have a chance to explore their own experience of trust, and how that relates to positive and negative experiences with government – as well as what needs to happen to build trust in this engagement process.

Groups can also undertake self-facilitated discussions, supported by a facilitation guide, and equalities and lived experience organisations can apply for a £250 stipend to support discussions with their members (limited places).
