Legal information sessions available for over 50s and families
The free sessions run by Solicitors for Older People Scotland (SOPS) (this link will take you away from our website this link will take you away from The Alliance website) are usually ran via Zoom or Teams (whatever is preferable).
Introduction to SOPS
This session is for those who are not familiar with SOPS. It covers what services are provided, Legal Aid entitlement for over 60s and how SOPS have adapted to continue to have services accessible during Covid-19

Parent Carer Legal Support
This session is designed for parents of children who are disabled, approaching the age of 16 and for whom Guardianship has to be applied. It navigates the audience through the process, who does what and at what stage, cost, legal aid and then finally planning well for the future with Wills, trusts etc.
