The Machine Zone Community Interest Company are calling for organisations to host a screening of their film 'One Last Spin'.
The Machine Zone are calling for organisations to host a screening of the film ‘One Last Spin’, a documentary which exposes the harms of gambling through sharing real life experiences. The film premiered at Glasgow’s Centre for Contemporary Arts on 19th February, and organisers would like as many people as possible to watch the film.
It is hoped that the film will be used to raise awareness of gambling harm and the damage it can cause, as well as challenge the stigma associated with disordered gambling, as it is often described as a “hidden addiction”.
Some ideas for screening the film includes:
- Online events
- Small community events
- Use as part of training days as an awareness raising tool
- Partnership events
- Art festivals
If you are interested in finding out more about One Last Spin, or hosting a screening of your own to raise awareness of gambling harm, please head to the One Last Spin website to watch the trailer and access further information (this link will take you away from our website).
