ALISS release accessibility report

ALISS release research that aims to improve the accessibility of the ALISS site for users living with sensory loss and dementia.
During 2022, the ALISS (A Local Information System for Scotland) Programme carried out User Research in relation to the accessibility of the aliss.org website (this link will take you away from our website) for people living with sensory loss and dementia. In order to conduct this research, the ALISS team worked with partners in the ALLIANCE Sensory Hub along with other charities and services that support people to live with long term conditions that may inhibit access to digital services.
The ALISS Programme follows an Agile approach (this link will take you away from our website) to technical development and therefore operates on the basis of continual development and improvement. The learning from this latest User Research will be used to make specific recommendations for improvements to the ALISS system in terms of accessibility and therein forms part of the overall and ongoing aim that all users can access and navigate ALISS with ease to find relevant and up to date information on community assets and services available to support health and wellbeing.
