The Scottish Government has a plan for a new law that they think will improve life for people with learning disabilities.
The Scottish Government has a plan for a new law they think will make life better for people with learning disabilities. This will be called the Learning Disabilities, Autism and Neurodivergence Bill (LDAN Bill).
Before they write the Bill, the Scottish Government wants to conduct a consultation to hear what people with learning disabilities think about their ideas for the Bill. It is important that as many people with learning disabilities, family carers, and organisations respond to the consultation.
The Scottish Commission for Learning Disabilities (SCLD) have created some useful resources to help you respond to the consultation. They have created two short animations to explain how you can help make laws and to give you more information about the LDAN Bill and how you can respond.
SCLD are also hosting an event to help people respond to the LDAN Bill consultation. There are two dates to choose from. Click on the date below to register online:
