The CONSOLIDATE Network brings people with lived experience of dementia and researchers together to develop technologies for independence
CONSOLDATE are currently visiting community groups facilitating engagement workshops.
These workshops aim to gather the views of people with dementia and their unpaid carers on what matters most to them to support their independence and daily living, and their experiences of using technology (positive, negative and anywhere in between).
All views gathered will be analysed to form the network’s Grand Challenges going forward.
CONSOLIDATE are particularly keen to engage with communities within the North-West, South-West and Southern areas of Scotland to achieve as wide a geographical reach as possible.
There are a few ways to get involved:
- In-person engagement session with the core team at CONSOLIDATE:
- There is some capacity to visit community groups for a face-to-face workshop. All attendees living with dementia and their unpaid carers will receive £25 for their time and expertise.
- Community Champion:
- CONSOLIDATE are keen to reach as many communities as possible and engage with Community Champions who may be willing to facilitate a session with their own community groups (with online support and workshop resources from our core team). There will be a donation of £100 towards the community group for participation in the network if you participate through this pathway.
If your group is interested in being part of this phase of CONSOLIDATE, please get in contact as soon as possible by emailing us at dementia@hw.ac.uk
