Learn how cochlear implant services are evolving to better serve Scotland's deaf young people and their families
The Scottish Sensory Centre are hosting an informative webinar with the Scottish Cochlear Implant Programme (SCIP) exploring the latest developments in paediatric cochlear implantation.
This session will include:
- An update on current candidacy criteria and referral processes for children and young people being considered for cochlear implants
- New initiatives, including the Cochlear Implant Rehab Champions programme, designed to enhance post-implantation support and outcomes.
Target audience:
- Pupil Support Staff
- Communication Support Workers
- Teachers of Deaf children and young people
- Mainstream teachers
- Speech and Language Therapists.
