Join Scottish Advisory Forum on Europe (SAFE) to celebrate European cooperation on several topics during the Festival of Europe.

The Festival of Europe aims to strengthen the ties between Scotland, the UK and Europe. Taking place each year around Europe Day, this festival brings together everyone who believes cooperation and shared values can shape a more peaceful, democratic, sustainable and free Europe.

As part of the festival, we are hosting this event which is focussed on celebrating European cooperation, on topics including Horizon Europe, research, youth mobility programmes, Erasmus+, and cultural exchange.

This event has been organised by SAFE – the Scottish Advisory Forum on Europe in partnership with the Centre for the Study of Public Policy at the University of Glasgow.

  • Tanja Buzek (TBC), European Economic and Social Committee, Trade Union Secretary, EU Liaison Office, United Services Trade Union.
  • Leena Linnus, Head of the European Parliament Liaison Office in the United Kingdom.
  • Eddie Barnes, Director of the John Smith Centre (School of Social & Political Sciences).
  • Harish Lokum, Head of Education at British Council Scotland.
  • Niamh McCourt, Representative from Erasmus Student Network UK.
