Call for Exhibitors: Scottish Ethnic Minority Talent Summit and Awards (SEMTA) 2026
- Area of Work: The ALLIANCE
- Type: News Item
- Published: 26th August 2026
Exhibition opportunities are now open for the Scottish Ethnic Minority Talent Summit and Awards (SEMTA) 2026.
SEMTA is Scotland’s national platform bringing together ethnic minority professionals, emerging talent, entrepreneurs, community organisations, educators, and senior leaders.
The summit exists to connect people with opportunity and to support upward social mobility for communities that are too often underrepresented, including young people from ethnic minority backgrounds, who face persistent barriers in accessing careers guidance, work experience, and employer networks.
The 2026 Programme
Each event carries a distinct thematic focus:
| Date | City | Theme |
| 5 October | Aberdeen | ESG, Energy & Diverse Talent |
| 26 October | Glasgow | Digital Health, Environment & Diversity |
| 27 October | Fife | Housing & Social Care |
| 29 October | Edinburgh | The National Convergence Point – Summit & Awards Gala |
Organisations are welcome to exhibit at whichever location or locations best align with their priorities and regional presence.
Who Should Exhibit?
We welcome exhibitors from every sector: employers and recruiters, charities and community organisations, colleges and universities, public sector bodies, entrepreneurs, professional networks, and anyone whose work connects people with opportunity.
Why Exhibit at SEMTA 2026?
Since its launch in 2022, SEMTA has grown from 120 delegates to over 512 in 2025, with 41 speakers, 21 exhibiting organisations, 61% female attendance, and a delegate satisfaction rating of 4.3 out of 5. In 2026, we are targeting 1,000+ attendees across the four cities.
Exhibiting gives your organisation the opportunity to:
- Connect directly with professionals, young people, parents, educators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders from ethnic minority backgrounds across Scotland
- Meet your ESG and CSR targets: Demonstrate measurable action toward diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) by directly supporting underserved talent pipelines.
- Raise awareness of your services, programmes, careers, and opportunities among communities often underreached by mainstream engagement
- Build partnerships with employers, community organisations, and professionals who could become collaborators, mentors, or supporters of your work
- Demonstrate visible commitment to fair access, diversity, and inclusion in Scotland’s economic and civic life
- Listen and learn. The summit is designed as a two-way exchange; exhibitors consistently tell us the conversations are as valuable as the visibility
