Join us for a free webinar as part of our ongoing women's health series, in partnership with the Scottish Government.

March is Endometriosis Action month. Endometriosis is a long-term condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb is found elsewhere in the body. It’s very common, affecting around 1 in 10 women or those assigned female at birth. For some people, it can have a significant impact on their lives. For more information see NHS Inform.

To mark Action month, the ALLIANCE and the Scottish Government are hosting a free webinar on Thursday 12 March 12-1.15

This session will explore endometriosis – including common symptoms and treatment options – and support people to have productive interactions with healthcare professionals, such as GPs or gynaecologists, along their diagnostic or treatment journey.

To register for this free webinar please click the link to complete a short booking form:

We will be joined by expert speakers including:

  • Dr Lucy Whitaker, Centre for Reproductive Health at the University of Edinburgh

Please note that our speakers can’t give any individual medical advice, but if you wish to put a question to them then there will be opportunity to do so on the day.

***This webinar is open to anyone that wishes to learn more about endometriosis, but people may find it particularly relevant if they are at the beginning of their endometriosis journey or if they have symptoms that they are wanting to manage. Health professionals are welcome to join, although discussion will not focus on diagnosis or managing the condition from a professional perspective.***

The session will be recorded, and will be available a few weeks afterwards on our Youtube channel.
This session will also be supported by a BSL/English interpreter.

[1] This event is delivered in partnership with the Scottish Government and in support of the Women’s Health Plan

[2] The Women’s Health Plan and the ALLIANCE’s programme uses the term ‘women/woman’ but it is important to highlight that it is not only those who identify as women who require access to women’s health and reproductive services. All healthcare services should be respectful and responsive to individual needs, and everyone should be treated with dignity and respect.
