Join Visibility Scotland & Quarriers North West Carers for a webinar on identifying and supporting unpaid carers. 8 July, 11am.
Interested in strengthening your understanding of unpaid carers and the support available to them? This live online webinar, part of Visibility Scotland’s ‘Coffee and Chat’ sessions, offers a practical introduction for anyone working with people who may have caring responsibilities.
The session will explore what unpaid caring looks like in practice and how professionals can better identify, support and refer carers into appropriate services.
What the session covers:
- Who unpaid carers are and how to recognise them
- How to refer someone into Quarriers Carers Service
- The core services that Quarriers Carers Service offers are information and advice, emotional support, practical support, training and peer support opportunities, access to carers grants, benefit maximisation advice and wellbeing opportunities.
Who it’s for: Professionals, volunteers, community workers, and anyone who may come into contact with unpaid carers. No link to vision impairment is required, all are welcome.
To register your interest, contact the Visibility Scotland Information Line on 0800 987 1087.
