You are Ready! with Jodie Ounsley - event for children.
There are loads of different ways to be strong, and who better to guide you through them than athlete and real-life Gladiator Jodie Ounsley (AKA Fury)?
Off the back of new her book Keep Smashing It, Jodie shares stories, advice, and tips which will give you the confidence to back yourself and smash barriers — something she’s done all her life, from playing professional rugby to becoming the first Deaf Gladiator.
This event takes place on 22nd August 2026, 10.30 – 11.30am in the Spiegeltent at Edinburgh Book Festival. BSL/English interpretation and captions are provided.
