National Transitions to Adulthood Strategy – Statement of Intent

Have your say on Scotland’s first National Transitions to Adulthood Strategy, Statement of Intent.
Scotland’s first National Transitions to Adulthood Strategy Working Group, are pleased to announce that a Statement of Intent, a summary version and accessible formats have now been published (links below). These are accompanied by an online anonymous survey which can be found here. The survey will be open until the 30th November.
The Statement of Intent sets out the proposed scope, vision, and priorities for the strategy. Publishing the Statement of Intent presents an opportunity to sense-check what we have heard so far through research and engagement, and whether we are on the right track. We want to test this with more disabled young people, parents, carers, and others with a role in supporting disabled young people’s transitions to adulthood between now and the end of November 2023. We will be doing this by attending some engagement sessions and through the anonymous survey.
We would therefore be very grateful if you could help to spread the word that the Statement of Intent has now been published and encourage people to have their say on the proposals within it – the findings of which will help to shape the final strategy.
The Statement of Intent is available in the following formats:
- Statement of Intent (Full Version)
- Summary Version
- Easy Read
- British Sign Language (BSL) version
- Audio version
