Join a meeting of the renewed and relaunched Scottish Campaign on Rights to Social Security (SCORSS) to shape the future of the campaign.
The Scottish Campaign on Rights to Social Security (SCORSS) is holding an in-person meeting on Thursday 22 January to formally re-launch the campaign. Over the past year, core organisations involved in SCORSS have been reviewing how the campaign can effectively operate in order to influence the future development of social security in Scotland.
At this event, members will be given an overview and an opportunity to ask questions about this work, followed by a discussion on key priorities and opportunities for influencing the next Scottish Parliament and Government, as well as the current UK Government.
SCORSS is a coalition of organisations united in our belief in a social security system that prevents poverty, treats people with dignity and respect, and supports everyone to flourish.
SCORSS (previously known as the Scottish Campaign on Welfare Reform – SCoWR) was set up in 2006. It is a diverse coalition of organisations working across Scotland with collective expertise in a range of aspects of the social security system. It has informed debates on changes to both UK and Scottish Government policy and influenced the creation of Scotland’s first social security system.
This event is intended for organisations that have previously been involved in or would like to become members of SCORSS.
