Let the British Society of Audiology know about your activities for marking the largest global awareness campaign on hearing loss
This year’s theme for World Hearing Day is, “From communities to classrooms: hearing care for all children”.
The campaign focuses on two imperatives:
- Preventing avoidable childhood hearing loss (such as such as otitis media with effusion (OME) and impacted ear wax)
- Ensuring early identification of and care for children with Deafness.
Communities and classrooms are natural entry points to reach children, parents, and teachers. By integrating hearing care into school health and child health programmes, we can help children learn, and succeed.
The British Society of Audiology invite you to raise awareness of this year’s World Hearing Day campaign by:
- Tagging #WorldHearingDay in a social media post
- Hosting an event such as a coffee morning, an engagement session with your local Teachers of the Deaf, or a webinar.
If you are participating in raising awareness of the World Hearing Day, the British Society of Audiology would love to know about it. Contact them at outreach@thebsa.org.uk
