The Britain-wide equalities and human rights regulator are seeking public input into their strategy over the next few years.
The Equalities and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) have opened a consultation on their upcoming three-year strategic plan. They have identified three key areas where they believe they can drive improvement and create long term change:
- Work
- Participation and good relations
- Justice and the balance of rights
The EHRC are an independent equality and human rights regulator, working across England, Scotland and Wales. In Scotland, the EHRC’s mandate only relates to issues reserved to the UK Parliament, as the Scottish Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has responsibility for human rights in areas devolved to the Scottish Parliament.
The consultation will run until 3 October 2024, and the draft strategic plan is available on the EHRC website. The draft plan is also available in easy-read format, and with a British Sign Language (BSL) translation. You can respond to the consultation survey here.
