The ALLIANCE wants to hear about your communication experiences
An Easy Read summary is available here.
Communication connects us, but we all communicate differently. Good communication matters to everyone. It lets us live well and be part of our communities. Inclusive communication should be a normal part of everyday life.
Most of us will require help to communicate at some point in our lives. Currently, that often means people have problems with:
- Getting and keeping jobs.
- Going to school, college or university.
- Getting the right health and social care help, at the right time.
- Being active in their community.
We want to plan for a future where everyone can live well, without discrimination. When we get communication right, it helps everyone.
The ALLIANCE is developing a campaign to improve inclusive communication for everyone in Scotland. As part of that, we want to learn more about your communication experiences. We want to use people’s stories to change how Scottish Government and other decision-makers think about communication, and why it matters.
If you would like to share your experiences with us for use in our campaign, please get in touch. We welcome your stories in written, spoken, signed, or photographic form – whatever works for you.
Taking part is voluntary and you can withdraw at any time. Any information you share will follow the ALLIANCE’s privacy policy.
Our privacy policy says that if you change your mind about taking part you can stop talking to us at any time. You do not need to tell us why.
Your real name will not be used when we launch the campaign. What you tell us will only be used for this project. The information will be kept for 2 years on a password-protected database that no one else will be able to access.
To share your experiences in writing, complete our online survey here: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/CommunicationForAll/.
