Help shape more accessible elections in Scotland

Have your say on what worked well, what barriers remain, and what changes are needed to improve accessible voting.
The Electoral Commission is carrying out an evaluation of accessibility at the recent Scottish Parliament election and is keen to hear directly from disabled people and the organisations that support them.
This is an opportunity to highlight what worked well, where barriers remain, and what changes are needed to make voting more accessible for everyone.
As part of this work, there are two separate surveys available – one for individuals and one for organisations.
Survey for individuals
Disabled people are invited to share their personal experiences of voting in the Scottish Parliament election through this short survey at 2026 accessibility survey – Scottish Parliament elections
Survey for Organisations
Organisations are also encouraged to complete s eperate survey based on the experiences of the people they support and their use of Electoral Commission resources at Partner and Civil Society organisations – feedback on the Scottish Parliament election 2026
Accessible versions of both surveys, including word document, large print and British Sign Language are also available.
Both surveys are open until 12 June. Response are anonymous and will be used for reaserch purposes only.
If completing the survey is not possible, feedback can also be submitted in another format, or organisations can share relevant findings from their own work by emailing access@electoralcommission.org.uk
