First FIFA tournament to have sign language interpretation broadcasts for all matches.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 has added additional accessible experiences to help all fans enjoy this global event.

Building on accessibility features used at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 which included audio descriptive commentary, this year’s tournament will also include sign language broadcasts for every match, enabling access to play-by-play coverage and interpretation of key audio cues.

Sign language interpretation

The steps to access this service are as follows:

  1. Download the FIFA World Cup 2026 app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Navigate to the “Stadiums” section of the app.
  3. Select the stadium where the match is taking place.
  4. Open the “Accessibility Services” tab.
  5. Tap the “Sign Language” button.
  6. The YouTube link will automatically open in a web browser, and the broadcast will begin playing immediately. 

Audio descriptive commentary

The steps to access this service are as follows:

  1. Download the FIFA Audio Description app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Once installed, open the FIFA Audio Description app.
  3. Select the match or ceremony you would like to follow.
  4. Follow the simple instructions within the app to connect to the live Audio Descriptive Commentary feed.
