Our Digital Health and Care team review activities over 2017 for our annual report.
In 2017, our Digital Health and Care (DHC) team continued to work towards its aim of bringing people into the heart of DHC developments.
To start with, we successfully managed the Our GP project partnering with 1,000 citizens and professionals, in various creative ways, to develop three innovative ideas for future GP digital services. This made it one of the largest co-design projects in Scotland to date. We are now finalising the best routes to take these ideas and turn them into services that are made available to people.
To support the third sector, we have launched ‘inDHC’ (Innovation Network for Digital Health and Care), a collaborative space committed to supporting person-centred DHC developments. It aims to help third sector innovators make connections and collaborate on common challenges together.
We’re working on data too, producing a jargon-free short-form video explaining how it is used in health and care, to help promote public awareness and understanding on this important issue. And we supported co-design on an innovation project exploring how we can collect data better, to improve cancer care.
On a wider level, we’re worked with the Scottish Government, to encourage dialogue and input to its forthcoming Digital Health and Care Strategy for Scotland.
Keep an eye on our web page, Twitter or Instagram to keep up to date and for details on any upcoming opportunities to help shape digital health and care innovation in Scotland.
