Global Intergenerational Congress in Glasgow (29 September-1 October 2026) exploring research, practice and learning across generations.
Generations Working Together is a Scottish organisation that supports and promotes intergenerational practice across communities, services and policy.
Generations Working Together has announced the Global Intergenerational Congress, taking place in Glasgow from 29 September to 1 October 2026. The event will bring together international thought leaders, researchers, practitioners and policymakers to explore innovative intergenerational solutions.
The congress will feature a full three day in person programme with opportunities for networking and collaboration. Alongside the main programme there will be a Civic Reception and Generations Working Together’s Intergenerational Excellence Awards Dinner and Ceilidh. The full congress programme will be announced in spring 2026.
A Call for Sessions and Papers is now open with a submission deadline of 15 February 2026. Contributions are invited from researchers, practitioners, volunteers and policymakers who are interested in advancing intergenerational practice. Submissions are welcomed across a wide range of themes including education, homes and communities, climate action, health and wellbeing, social connection, research, multi generational workplaces, ageism, arts and culture, diversity, inclusion, policy, volunteering and youth leadership.
Accepted sessions and papers will help shape a global programme focused on influencing practice, policy and research across generations.
Early Bird delegate rates are now available and offer discounted access to the full three day congress. Early Bird registration closes on 28 February 2026. Further information about registration, session proposals and programme updates is available on the Generations Working Together website.
