Public Health Scotland have published new resources to help improve the health and wellbeing of Gypsy/Travellers.

Gypsy/Traveller communities experience some of the worst physical and mental health outcomes in the UK. To make progress with reducing the health inequalities experienced by Gypsy/Travellers across Scotland, we need focused action.

The first publication discusses some of the inequalities experienced by Gypsy/Traveller communities. It highlights some practical solutions that Health Boards and Health and Social Care Partnerships can implement to try to improve the health outcomes of Gypsy/Travellers in their area.

The second publication will support people who are undertaking an equality impact assessment or health inequality impact assessment to consider the likely impacts of policy, strategy or service development on Gypsy/Travellers in Scotland.

Both resources can be found on the Public Health Scotland website.
