The 2025 Self Management Awards are open for nomination from 7 May to 11 June.

Who do you know that deserves to be celebrated for the difference they are making to self management in Scotland? Nominate them now for a Self Management Award.

Each year the ALLIANCE hosts the Self Management Awards to celebrate examples of good practice and promote a range of innovative self management work that exists all over Scotland.

The Self Management Awards are an annual celebration of the variety of brilliant work happening across Scotland to support self management, and the individuals who are taking self management in their stride.

The ALLIANCE hosts the awards as a way to share learning and promote the work of the people and organisations exemplifying the best of self management, helping to feed this learning into the development and delivery of services. It is always an inspiring night, and an excellent chance to recognise the people and organisations who are driving self management forward.

This year we have renamed the Self Management Champion award the “Audrey Birt Self Management Champion” award in honour of one of our founders, who sadly passed away in 2024. Audrey was an inspirational leader and played such an important role in the development of “Gaun Yersel: The Self Management Strategy for Scotland,” which continues to be central to our work advocating for self management support for everyone in Scotland. The Self Management Fund and supporting programme resulting from Gaun Yersel continues to be a major part of the ALLIANCE’s work.

The award categories are:

• Self Management in the Community

More information about the categories and how to nominate can be found on our Self Management Awards page.
