Our 2025 Annual Conference showed the power of lived experience - read the report and watch the highlights.
This year’s ALLIANCE Annual Conference, held on 30 April, brought together over 250 delegates from across Scotland under the theme Our Voices Matter. The day was rich with discussion, learning and connection, centred on the meaningful involvement of lived experience in shaping health and social care. From powerful keynote speeches by Neil Gray MSP and Professor Sir Michael Marmot to creative contributions and workshops, the event highlighted the importance of human rights, equality, accessibility, and the urgent need for systemic reform.
The newly published post-conference report captures the themes, feedback and reflections from the day, and sets out our commitments to ensuring that lived experience is not only heard but embedded in decision-making at every level.
Delegates spoke candidly about challenges in health and social care, shared stories of resilience and change, and emphasised that tokenistic involvement must give way to genuine influence. The report also showcases inspiring creative performances and outlines how collective action will continue to drive progress.
We invite you to read the full report and watch the conference highlights video below to revisit the energy, honesty, and shared commitment of the day.
Together, our voices are stronger; and together, we can shape a more inclusive, rights-based future for health and social care.
