If you’re aged 18–64 and live with a health condition that puts you at greater risk from flu, PHS would love to hear from you
The ALLIANCE is supporting Public Health Scotland’s winter vaccination campaign by gathering real-life experiences of flu to encourage uptake of the vaccine.
If you’re aged 18–64 and live with a health condition that puts you at greater risk from flu, Public Health Scotland would love to hear from you. They are looking for volunteers to share their personal experiences of having flu, what it felt like, how it affected them, and why they would recommend getting the flu vaccine.
Stories can be shared in different ways:
- A short written quote
- A talking head video
- A longer written piece
PHS will support participants throughout whichever option feels right for them.
Dr Irene Oldfather, our Director for Strategic Partnerships, External Affairs and Outreach said:
“It’s important that we all support the flu programme – not only to protect ourselves but also those around us. Research shows that people who die from flu are often unvaccinated. The jab offers real protection against serious symptoms and complications.”
