An online library of stories exploring the question, ‘What matters to you?’
Scottish Book Trust has re-published a beautiful online collection of ‘digital stories’ created by people affected by cancer. Each person shares what has really mattered to them in their experience, shining a light on pivotal conversations, moments, places and people.
Macmillan Cancer Support and Scottish Book Trust worked together to help people tell these stories between 2020 and 2024. Digital stories are simple, powerful pieces of media that place the storyteller in full control of the content and tone of their narrative – a fitting way to share people’s unique perspectives.
These stories are about daily walks, kind strangers, photographs and friendships, as well as the storytellers’ experiences of treatment and care. They would love you to watch if you feel able – there is a short description beneath each video to help you decide if watching feels right for you. You can find the library on the Your Voice, Your Story programme website run by Scottish Book Trust.
