The Promise Scotland launches new event series

The new range of events are designed to help people working to keep the promise to have opportunities to collaborate and work together.
Based on feedback, Online Learning sessions, and in person Promise Learning Collaboratives have been developed, in order to create spaces to share ideas and learning.
In addition to the online sessions and in person learning collaboratives, Regional Networks will continue to be set up across Scotland, to give a space for regional focused development.
The events are part of a revised support function from The Promise Scotland which is focused on supporting key partners across Scotland to align with Plan 24-30 and take forward the work required to keep the promise.
Promise Learning Collaboratives will meet over the year, in various locations across Scotland and take a national focus. This will enable all corporate parents and those working in children’s services roles to come together regularly to network, share practice, problem solve, learn and collaborate on a national scale.
These sessions will be organised under one of the five foundations of Plan 24-30, to increase understanding of how the promise is being kept in relation to specific foundations and themes.
Promise Online Sessions will be offered throughout the year, providing opportunities for learning, collaboration, and engagement.
There will be sessions linked to the in-person Promise Learning Collaboratives and will be an opportunity to engage online if a person can’t attend an in-person collaborative.
These online sessions, held after the in-person learning collaborative, will allow participants to contribute to key discussions, share and help capture learning and explore potential solutions to any barriers to keeping the promise.
There will also be separate sessions throughout the year on specific topics, these will include webinars, workshops, briefings, spotlight sessions and masterclasses.
As well as the events, Regional Networks will continue and grow. These function similarly to Promise Learning Collaboratives but do so from a local rather than a national perspective and on an increased frequency. They see promise leads get together in particular regions of Scotland to network and collaborate.
The fourth part of the support offer will enable key partners to continue to have specific engagement sessions with The Promise Scotland team, including Promise Delivery Partners, but with the long-term focus being on supporting those working to keep the promise to collaborate together.
