Changing faces are reopening their face to face services.
Changing Faces(this link will take you away from our website) Skin Camouflage Service across Scotland is re-opening this month. The service supports anyone (from age 5 upwards) with a mark, scar or condition to self manage their condition with the support of Skin Camouflage products.
Appointments last approx. 1 hour and are 1-1.
There is the opportunity to try out products and learn techniques whilst receiving a professional colour skin matching prescription which can be fulfilled by the GP. Find here a short video explaining how an appointment works. Appointments can be self referral or be referred by a healthcare professional.
The service is not about what condition, but to provide the tools and understanding to manage the impact of changes to the individual’s appearance providing them choice and tools for self management.
Like so many face to face services it has been on pause since March 2020, but after a thorough evaluation and risk assessment we are happy to report that services in Fife, Ayrshire and Arran, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen are set to re-open.
