You can refer a young person directly or support them in self-referring.

Children’s Health Scotland have announced the return of their Self Management Skills (SMS) Programmes this August 2025. These in-person programmes are ideal for children and young people aged 9–17 living with a health condition or concern—no formal diagnosis is required.

SMS is a child-led, creative, and supportive space where participants:

  • Build confidence and resilience
  • Learn self-management and coping strategies
  • Explore their health rights
  • Connect with peers who understand their experiences
  • Take part in fun, health-focused activities

More information, and the referral form can be found on the Children’s Health Scotland website
