How do you build a professional online presence without feeling like you’re “selling yourself”?

This practical 90-minute workshop is designed for early careers professionals who want to use online communications more confidently, thoughtfully and effectively. That might include students, recent graduates, apprentices, interns, trainees, new third sector staff, emerging leaders, career changers, or people taking their first steps into a new sector.

We’ll explore how to communicate your work, values and learning in ways that feel useful rather than performative. The session will cover open working, using LinkedIn well, building a professional network, sharing ideas in public, and making your experience visible without pretending to have everything figured out.

Participants will leave with practical ideas for:

  • improving their LinkedIn profile & presence
  • sharing learning, projects, thoughts, opinions and achievements online
  • building confidence in professional communication
  • connecting with people and opportunities in their field
  • using online spaces in a way that feels authentic and purposeful

This will be an interactive session with space for questions, examples and discussion.
