The Curve, led by Third Sector Lab, offers free digital skills training.

Third sector organisations are under real pressure to do more with less. AI promises innovation and efficiency, but its use consumes significant resources, comes with a real human cost and carries its own risks.   Charities across our networks have identified this as an area where they need significant guidance and support, leading us to this timely and crucial collaboration with AI governance expert, Alba Sort. 

Alba will lead a practical 90-minute masterclass to help you understand what makes AI different from the tools that came before it, and how good governance can help you make better use of AI. You’ll leave with a greater awareness of what responsible AI means in practice, and actionable steps to use AI safely, confidently, and in line with your mission.

Alba Sort empowers value-led organisations to use AI responsibly and in a way that aligns with their mission. Drawing on 20+ years of international experience, from senior corporate marketing roles to consulting for not-for-profits and SMEs, she connects AI governance and compliance, strategic marketing and communications, and trust and brand values, helping organisations put AI to work without losing sight of their mission, people or reputation. A former Chartered Institute of Marketing tutor, Alba is a certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP), an IAPP member, and co-chair of the IAPP KnowledgeNet Scotland Chapter.

The Curve, led by Third Sector Lab, offers free digital training for the third sector. These online workshops aim to build knowledge around best digital practices, raise awareness of digital tools and increase impact with digital. Sessions are open to anyone working or volunteering with a third sector organisation in the UK.
