The £15 million aims to support grassroots organisations across Scotland to improve mental health in their community.
The Scottish Government are encouraging community organisations to apply to the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund (this link will take you away from our website.) The Fund is aimed at supporting grass roots community groups who carry out initiatives to promote wellbeing, mitigate & protect against the impact of distress, tackle social isolation & loneliness, and help address the mental health inequalities exacerbated by the pandemic. It is also intended to support the development of an integrated culture of mental wellbeing and prevention within local communities and across Scotland.
The fund of £15 million, one part of the overall £120 million Mental Health Recovery and Renewal Fund, was launched on 15 October by the Minister for Mental Wellbeing and Social Care. It is being delivered via Third Sector Interfaces(TSI) across Scotland who will act the funding leads, collaborating with a range of local partners including Integration Authorities, to distribute the funding to grass roots community groups and organisations.
More details on the fund and the organisations administering it in each council area are available from the TSI Scotland Network (this link will take you away from our website.)
