Accessible research for people who are Deaf, Deafblind or who have a Visual Impairment.
Macmillan Transformation Programme are looking for people affected by cancer, carers, family members and friends to share their experiences and help improve cancer services in Lothian, Fife, Borders, and Dumfries & Galloway health board areas.
Your experiences will help us:
- Improve cancer care for patients and families
- Improve support at the times people need it most
- Ensure services reflect what matters most to patients and carers
You can take part by:
- Talking to us one-to-one
- Joining a small discussion group
- Taking part in a telephone or video call
- Completing an online survey
Please tell us about any access or communication needs when you get in touch.
For example, you may need:
- Large print information
- Audio format
- British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation
- Captioning for online meetings
- Information in a community language
- Additional time during conversations
- Another communication support or adjustment
We will provide the support you need so that you can take part in a way that works for you.
Please get in touch if you are currently receiving cancer treatment, or if you were diagnosed with cancer within the last five years and your treatment has finished.
We also want to hear from carers, family members and friends who are supporting, or have supported, someone diagnosed with cancer within the last five years.
To arrange a conversation, join a discussion group, request information in an alternative format, or find out more, email loth.macmillantransform@nhs.scot or phone/text 07483 692322.
You can also click on the following links to access one of two online surveys:
