Promoting World Hearing Day to an official United Nations international day

Help hearing health be recognised as a global priority.
World Hearing Day takes place annually on the 3rd of March. It is supported by the World Health Organisation and is dedicated to raising awareness of Deafness and promoting ear and hearing care.
Formal UN recognition would transform World Hearing Day into an “International Day,” to help create greater global commitment to hearing health.
This change would:
- Help amplify public engagement
- Inspire investment in interventions and policies prioritising hearing health
- Support education campaigns, research and early intervention programmes
- Support access to services
- Encourage integration of ear and hearing care into national health agendas.
