Take part in a Lived Experience Advisory Group.
Rachel Thomsen, a PhD student based at the University of Edinburgh, is exploring how changes in hearing and/or vision shape everyday communication and care experiences, and how systems of care can better recognise and respond to these changes across social and structural contexts.
Her research will involve working closely with people to explore their experiences of sensory change using creative and participatory approaches, such as walking interviews and creating maps of experiences that are important to them.
Rachel would like to set up a Lived Experience Advisory Group of people who have experienced changes in hearing and/or vision themselves, or have supported someone else with these changes, to shape the research together and look at how it can best reflect and respond to lived experience.
You will be offered payment for your involvement in line with NIHR Patient and Public Involvement Rates and the University will also cover any expenses for travel or carer costs.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in taking part in, Rachel would love to hear from you.
