The University of Edinburgh, Bayes Centre, has received more funding to support professional development.
The Bayes Centre is the University of Edinburgh’s innovation hub for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
The Centre offers a portfolio of short, standalone courses designed to enable employees to upskill or working professionals to reskill through online or blended learning in the area of digital data.
The following courses have been added to the portfolio:
Health Data Science
This online credit-bearing course aims to equip healthcare professionals with the key foundations and data skills that are needed for data-driven innovation.
Applications close 27th March 2022.
Data Ethics and Ownership
This online credit-bearing course will introduce students to the various ethical issues that arise regarding the use of service user data from health, social, and care service systems, emphasising data ethics and ownership.
Applications close 4th January 2022.
Managing and Leading Data-Driven Innovation
This online credit-bearing course (this link will take you away from our website) introduces the core elements of leadership and organisational management using theoretical applications and practice-based scenarios. It will include critical evaluation of case studies relevant to data science, providing students with the knowledge and skills required for leading and managing change in the health, social and care services sector.
