Improved voting accessibility for people with Visual Impairment

The Electoral Management Board for Scotland have worked with RNIB and Sight Scotland to improve the accessibility of voting in the Scottish election on the 7th of May for voters with Visual Impairment.

Resources include a training video for polling staff produced in collaboration with Sight Scotland. This is being used by all 32 Returning Officers in Scotland.

Audio versions of all ballot papers are now available for every council in Scotland. These can be located via links to your local authority area at the bottom of RNIB’s Voting in Scotland webpage here.

Please find below RNIB’s video containing information on all accessible voting aids for people with Visual Impairment, including audio ballot papers.
