This flash report provides a summary of activity and findings from the 2025/26 mental health and gambling harm projects in Scotland.

The Scotland Reducing Gambling Harm (SRGH) programme at the ALLIANCE has completed monitoring and evaluation on behalf of the Scottish Government for 16 exploratory projects funded through the new statutory Gambling Levy (introduced in 2025).

These projects explored gambling harm and mental health, with a focus on disadvantaged, marginalised, and minoritised communities across Scotland. They highlighted key challenges, identified opportunities to improve practice, and supported staff to engage more confidently on gambling harm.

Learning from this work will inform SRGH’s developing prevention strategy, strengthen cross sector collaboration, and support organisations working in prevention, intervention, and treatment.

These findings support a shift towards a whole system approach to reducing gambling harm in Scotland.
