Accessible Voter registration Focus group
The Electoral Registration Office for Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling will be facilitating a focus group on people who are Deaf, Deafblind or who have a Visual Impairment experiences of voter registration, including key accessibility issues.
They are holding a focus group to find out more about people’s individual experiences when registering to vote or change their voting method, e.g. from in person to a postal vote. They want to know what challenges/barriers people who experience sensory loss might have come across. They also want to know what would help make services more user friendly and easier to access. They would like to make a short film and some short reels for their publicity and engagement programme and on their social media platforms for people who have sensory impairments.
With important elections to the Scottish Parliament taking place in May 2026, it is important that everyone has the opportunity to have their voices heard on their future. However, in order to be able to vote, citizens must be registered.
If you would like more information, or you would be interested in taking part in the focus group, please email jaynebrown@forthvalleysensorycentre.org
Registration closes on Monday, 22nd December 2025.
