ALLIANCE Live interview with the Chief Executive of NHS 24
On 30 July 2020, ALLIANCE Director Irene Oldfather had the opportunity to interview Angiolina Foster, Chief Executive of NHS 24 and put forward members’ questions on the NHS 24 response to COVID, organisational culture, mental health service provision and upcoming winter pressures.
This interview will be released later this week on our YouTube channel.
Mindful walking and mindful eating with Cancer Support Scotland – Wellbeing Wednesday
For this week’s Wellbeing Wednesday, we’re hearing from Stephanie Quigley, Lead Complementary Therapist at Cancer Support Scotland who will provide listeners with an opportunity to focus on their breathing while walking to produce calmness.

Train the Trainer – Getting it right for every child approach
Tuesday 25 August 2020 from 10:30-12:00pm
Ronnie Hill from the ALLIANCE will provide a train-the-trainer seminar on the GIRFEC approach. The purpose of this workshop is to enable a broad range of practitioners from the third sector to deliver information workshops for children and young people or parents and carers to inform them about GIRFEC and what it means for them; to bring GIRFEC to life, to make it real for them.
All events will be conducted via Zoom. You do not need to have a Zoom account or to have downloaded the app to be able to take part. All details to join will be sent in advance.
