The ALLIANCE has received funding from Digital Health & Care’s Connecting to Care Fund to launch a new Digital Links Project in Glasgow.

The project is a new partnership between the ALLIANCE’s Glasgow Community Links Workers Programme and the Digital Hub. It accepts referrals via Links Workers of individuals living in Glasgow who have poor mental health or well-being and who are experiencing digital exclusion. The aim of the project is to support these individuals to become more skilled and confident in accessing digital health and social care support.

As well as working with individuals, the project is aiming to build capacity and legacy digital support by scoping local digital and mental health support and ensuring they are added to ALISS (A Local Information Service for Scotland) to ensure they are readily and easily found in the future. Cillian will also be liaising with support service providers and linking them with our Discover Digital Programme, which will provide free, bespoke training to both front line staff and service users on digital health and social care tools, improving their confidence and skills. This training will continue past the lifespan of the project and the organisations will be linked in a collaborative ‘Peer Network’ of digital support. The participating GP practices can also avail of free support from Discover Digital in introducing digital services such as Near Me digital consultations and online booking, via training sessions for patients.
